Anime Convention

TandokuCon Entertainment was founded in October 2006 when, through a labor of love, the founder decided to bring a convention to Philadelphia for her daughter, a college student on a budget. Her daughter, bummed because she couldn't afford to get to some of the larger Cons on the east coast, wished there was a convention closer to home. Mom thought it was a great idea to have a convention in their backyard. Thus, TandokuCon was born. We have spent many hours perfecting the program for the first annual full-scale anime convention to come to Philadelphia.

We are grateful for the opportunity to bring TandokuCon to Philly. To us, TandokuCon is something more than just a good time. It is our way of fighting against a terrible epidemic: the loss of life amongst our young people. The tragedy at Virginia Tech is an awful reminder of the callousness some feel towards this matter. We at TandokuCon, however, take it very seriously. The thoughts, the actions, the skills, the talents, the ambitions and the goals of our young people are our greatest resources. Creatively, artistically, thematically and technologically, our future is shouldered on the ingenuity of our next generation. We embrace our young people. We embrace their similarities, their differences, their strengths and their weaknesses. TandokuCon was born out of a desire to provide a central, affordable and convenient location for all those interested in celebrating the phenomenon that is anime. It has transcended into so much more.
