Biography:
Jo Chen was born in Taiwan on the 4th of July, and after immigrating to the U.S. quickly established herself one of the few female comic artists to give the boys a run for their money. Her double volume manga The Other Side of the Mirror has been published throughout Asia in multiple languages and she is a founding member of the underground comic syndicate The Secret Society.
She kicked-off her career in the U.S. with D.C. Comics/Wildstorm's Racer X, part of the successful Speed Racer series, with subsequent interiors for Dreamwave's Darkminds Macropolis series and Wildstorm's Robotech series.
Her paintings adorn the covers of D.C. Comics' Robin series, Marvel's Runaways and Thor Son of Asgard series, Image's Street Fighter series, Vertigos Fight For Tomorrow series, Top Cow's Battle of the Planets series and PlayStation Magazine. Her work will also be featured on the upcoming XBox game FABLE, to be released in the summer of 2004
Jo is now laying out the designs for her own Chinese-mythological series tentatively titled The Spectre King.
