Japan
Biography:
ZAQ is a singer-songwriter, and also provides songs, lyrics, and arrangement to other artists.
ZAQ began playing the piano at the age of three, and graduated from a music college majoring in piano. Besides learning classical music, she also studied various pop genres including rock, R&B, and Hip-Hop. While in school, she came across anime songs through TV and was stunned at the high level of musicality. Since then, she decided to become an anime song singer.
In 2011, ZAQ was chosen as a finalist in the contest of a video site. She became recognized through the video site, and because of that, in 2012, ZAQ made her creator debut writing lyrics, composing and arranging character songs from the anime Future Diary. Later that year, she made her singer solo debut with "Sparkling Daydream", the theme song for the anime Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. Since then, she has continued on to sing theme songs for animes such as "Gekijo Ron" for High School DxD NEW The Vampire of the Suspended Classroom, "Extra Revolution" for I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job, "Katararezu Tomo" for Concrete Revolutio - A Superhuman Fantasy, and "hopeness" from Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn, to name a few.
Each piece of her work is deeply attached to each anime, and the lyrics are written from each anime's perspective along with her imagination.
ZAQ's new song "Wareru Shoudou" will release in April, which is the theme song for the anime Concrete Revolutio ~ Superhuman Phantasmagoria.
