Biography:
Andy Secombe is a Welsh-born actor and author. His film work includes supplying voice of Watto in the Star Wars prequels, The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. He wrote and supplied many of the voices for Foxy Fables and The King and the Devil for Channel 4 and the award-winning animated series, Insektors. He has penned episodes of both Bob the Builder and Preston Pig and also collaborated on a screenplay with animation supremo Uli Meyer. It was while filming The Phantom Menace in the Tunisian desert that Andy, combining his passion for fantasy fiction with his love of comedy, started writing novels. In the long breaks between filming his scenes, and probably suffering from mild heatstroke, he came up with the plot of his first novel: Limbo. There followed the imaginitively titled, Limbo II; The Last House in the Galaxy; the acclaimed, Endgame and Looking for Mr Piggy Wig. He also published a memoir about growing up in the shadow of his famous father called, Growing up with the Goons, drawing on his own experiences as well as those of his siblings and the other children of those four lunatics. He lives in Cornwall.
Andy is currently working on a non-fiction project entitled COMPARENDIUM.
He also has worked on various audio projects for Big Finish Productions such as Doctor Who, The Avengers and The Survivors. He also has portrayed another Toydarian as Quello in Star Wars, Knights of the Old Republic 2, The Sith Lords.
