Rod Pyle is an author, journalist, television producer and Editor-in-Chief of Ad Astra magazine. He has written 18 books on space history, exploration, and development, including Space 2.0,
Rod Pyle is an author, journalist, television producer and Editor-in-Chief of Ad Astra magazine. He has written 20 books on space history, exploration, and development, including Space 2.0, Innovation the NASA Way, Blueprint for a Battlestar, Amazing Stories of the Space Age, First On the Moon, and Destination Mars. His most recent book is Technology Highlights for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He has written extensively for JPL, Caltech, WIRED, Popular Science, Space.com, Live Science, the World Economic Forum, and the Library of Congress. Pyle co-developed the Apollo Leadership Experience for NASA's Johnson Space Center and has produced, directed, and written for The History Channel and Discovery Networks, as well as consulting on space for National Geographic TV and Disney+. He also worked in visual effects on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and the Battlestar Galactica reboot, as well as sci-fi TV pilots Rod is the host of the This Week in Space podcast and is a frequent guest on national radio and television on space-related topics. Rod holds a BFA from the Art Center College of Design and an MA from Stanford University.
