News for Anime USA 2011:

Anime USA partners with Make-A-Wish Foundation

Seriously ill girl will attend as VIP guest, meet with Matenrou Opera

A partnership between Anime USA and the Make-A-Wish Foundation will make one girl's dreams come true. Jocelyn, a seriously ill girl from New Jersey, will enjoy an all-access, complimentary trip to Anime USA 2011.

Jocelyn will get to meet and spend time with one of her favorite bands, Anime USA's premiere musical guest, Matenrou Opera. She will watch the concert from a VIP seating area. Jocelyn and her family will receive priority access and seating, the convention's highest level of access. She will stay at the Hyatt Regency in an Ambassador Suite.

A Make-A-Wish volunteer escort will accompany Jocelyn and her family. On Saturday of the convention, this escort will be answer questions from interested outlets.

Tim Garman, Anime USA's Vice Chair of Convention Operations, said the convention is ecstatic to be working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

"We feel honored that a young girl's most wanted wish, among all of the wishes she could have requested, was to come to our event and see her favorite musical act," said Garman.
