Otakuthon 2009 announces sketching fundraiser for the Starlight Foundation

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA (June 1, 2009) - Otakuthon, Montreal's bilingual, fan-run anime convention, is pleased to announce that it will be running a three hour long anime sketching fundraiser at the Strangers in the Night 5 event held by the Starlight Children's Foundation Canada. The fundraiser will be held at the event in the Fairview Shopping Center in Pointe-Claire, Quebec from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, June 27th, 2009. All proceeds will be donated to the Starlight Children's Foundation Canada.

About Otakuthon: Otakuthon is a fan-run, bilingual anime convention originally started by the Otaku Anime club of Concordia University and now run by the Quebec Anime Committee. The first of its kind in Montreal, Otakuthon has taken place twice at Concordia University and once at the Palais des congres de Montreal. It features several special guests as well as many activities and events related to anime, manga, video games, artwork, and Japanese culture.
